Welcome to Rob Mayer and Cathy Cantwell’s blog. We have been on the faculty here at Oxford since 2002, and we work together. In this blog, we share, discuss and debate some of our research discoveries.

    Dear R & C,
Welcome to the worldwide Tibeto-blogosphere. It’s the future of the field (and a great place to perpetuate good things from the past, but don’t let that secret out).
    Love you both.

    Dear Robert & Cathy,

Just thought I’d drop you a note and let you know I’m nominating kīlī kīlaya for a ‘Liebster’ award. And what is this you ask? Frankly, I don’t really know. Apparently, its supposed to be something to recognize smaller blogs that do good work. You’re selected by another blogger, and then are supposed to nominate pick three to five other blogs in turn. I had not heard about this until Dan Martin nominated my blog, but so far, neither fame nor fortune seems to be forthcoming. So feel free to totally disregard this, but I hope you enjoy knowing that there are at least a few of us who enjoy reading this.

    Hi Rob,

I would like to congratulate you on your work and accomplishments.
I have just found out about you and this blog via Open Buddhism on Facebook, believe it or not.
I am happy to do so, my old lost friend.

    All the best,

    Marek Czepiec (Sangye Gyamtso)

PS You may remember me as a Pole with whom you’ve met Dudjom Rinpoche outside of Paris in May 1976.
